Whereas, Alexander Weheliye's definition of Afrofuturism is the intersection of black cultural production, technology, and science fiction. Weheliye's as presented in his essay ""Feenin": Posthuman Voices in Contemporary Black Popular Music" African American voices with other stories to tell about culture, technology and things to come through literature, poetry, science fiction and speculative fiction, music, visual art, and the Internet and maintains that racial identity fundamentally influences technocultural practices. What is Alondra Nelson's definition/description of "Afrofuturism" in her essay compared to Alexander G. What is it and where does it come from? It means "African diasporic cultures that live and evolve in the forms of gesture, music, dance, visual culture, epistomology, and language, crossing geography and generations by moving from carrier to carrier and thus threatening the knowledge monopoly of the West."
